Carbon Footprint

In class we have been working on reducing our carbon footprint. I am working on using Eco friendly ways of transport such as bikes instead of cars. This in turn will reduce my carbon footprint.

Joe Clement

Joe talked to us about what sustainability is;
economics, recycling, reusing, using resources wisely, power and architecture.
He also talked about meeting the needs of the future without compromising the needs of today.
He also said 1/4 = land 1/16= desert 1/32= rocks, which means 1/32 of earth is left for growing so use this space wisely.

Econmics, Supply and Demand

This graph shows the equilibrium point.

With supply and demand always see-sawing what do we really know about the financial state of this worlds trade? The supplier and producer have major parts in, how much the product price, how much there is and how easy it is to find. For instance a producer will pay for the product to be at eye level so that the consumer will notice the product.
Where the green and reed lines meet is called the equilibrium point, this is the point where the producer and the consumer are both happy.
For instance if a PC game wins an award the market is willing to pay more for the product, this can be called an economic relationship.
I learnt all this from brain pop

Eco Houses

This eco house does not have electricity, but it will protect you from rain, wind and storm, but most importantly will keep you warm. This is an important part of surviving on an empty island. So I'm asking you, if this isn't a eco house, then what is?

6 Essential Goods

These are six things I would take to an empty island

1. Breeding pair of cows,
2. Wagon,
3. Vegetable/fruit seeds,
4. Tool kit,
5. Hunting knife with a sheath that acts as a sharpener,
6. Rope.

The reason for the breeding cows is so that you can grow a herd and produce more products. The reason for the wagon is so that you can get the bull to pull the wagon to make it bigger. The reason for the vegetable and fruit seeds is so that you can have food. The reason for the is so that I can build what I need. The reason for the hunting knife is so that I can hunt and get meat so that I can survive. The reason for the rope is so that I can lead the cowand the cart.
